QuimeraCloud vs Hostinger: an honest look at plans, server and support

Updated on

Before you buy hosting, it helps to know what you will really pay, not just in year one. Here we compare Hostinger’s shared hosting plans with QuimeraCloud’s: entry price, renewal, what is included, servers, support, languages and payment. Third-party prices change and vary by country: the Hostinger data comes from its website, checked on November 2, 2026, and ours comes from our facts sheet. Because we are part of QuimeraCloud, we have a stake in the outcome, so we use only figures you can check and say plainly where Hostinger wins.

The 30-second summary

  • If you can pay 48 months upfront, Hostinger is cheaper per month. It also has more scale and more countries. Both offer support at all hours.
  • If you would rather commit for one year and have a person on the team on WhatsApp, QuimeraCloud is the better fit.
  • The monthly renewal prices of the three comparable plans match ($10.99, $16.99 and $25.99). The difference is the entry price and the term.

Entry price and renewal price

The names match (Premium, Unlimited, Cloud Startup), but the plans are not identical. Prices in US dollars, as published. QuimeraCloud’s prices do not say whether taxes are included (confirm on WhatsApp before you pay), and we did not verify it for Hostinger either.

Plan Hostinger: entry (48 months) Hostinger: renewal QuimeraCloud: first year (annual billing) QuimeraCloud: renewal QuimeraCloud: month to month
Premium $2.49/mo ($119.52 in one payment) $10.99/mo $3.99/mo ($47.89 for the year) $131.88/yr ($10.99/mo) $11.99
Unlimited $3.49/mo ($167.52) $16.99/mo $4.99/mo ($59.88 for the year) $203.88/yr ($16.99/mo) $18.99
Cloud Startup $7.99/mo ($383.52) $25.99/mo $9.99/mo ($119.89 for the year) $311.88/yr ($25.99/mo) $27.99

Three notes on Hostinger, so we do not make anything up:

  • The page in US dollars shows a single term, 48 months. We did not see a month-to-month or 12-month price there, so we leave them out.
  • The renewal price appears next to the entry price and, on the page we saw, applies to the same 48-month term.
  • It changes by country: the Spanish-language version shows euros (Premium €2.39/mo, renewing at €9.99/mo) and the Mexican one pesos (Premium MXN 32.99/mo, renewing at MXN 149.99/mo).

What you pay in total: a Premium example

Hostinger Premium QuimeraCloud Premium
First payment $119.52 (covers 48 months) $47.89 (covers 12 months)
Total over 4 years $119.52 $443.53 ($47.89 + 3 renewals of $131.88)

The QuimeraCloud total assumes prices do not change. On that basis, over four years Hostinger comes out about $324 cheaper, and it is only fair to say so. In exchange, the entry price is charged for all 48 months at once (its page mentions a 30-day money-back period; read its terms). With us you pay year by year, or month to month at a higher price ($11.99 on Premium). The yearly breakdown of a complete site (domain, hosting, SSL and email) is in how much it costs to keep a website in Bolivia each year.

What each plan includes

Premium

Hostinger Premium QuimeraCloud Premium
Sites 3 3
Disk 20 GB SSD 20 GB SSD
Email 2 mailboxes per site, free for 1 year 6 email accounts per domain, on up to 3 domains
Backups Weekly Automatic daily (the latest copy is kept, on the same server)
SSL Free Free, Let’s Encrypt with automatic renewal
Domain Free for 1 year Paid (.com $20 for the first year and $25 a year from the second)

Unlimited and Cloud Startup

Hostinger QuimeraCloud
Sites Unlimited Unlimited
Disk 50 GB (Unlimited) and 100 GB (Cloud Startup), on a different type of disk than ours 50 GB and 100 GB, both SSD
Email Unlimited mailboxes per site, free for 1 year No limit on accounts
Backups Daily with easy restore; on Cloud Startup, also on demand Automatic daily, restored or downloaded from the panel
Domain Free for 1 year Paid
Content delivery network Included, per its page We do not use one: everything is served from a single server
SSH and Node.js apps Not compared: check its page Cloud Startup only (jailed shell and Node.js apps)

On our plans no account has an IP address of its own (all share the server’s IPv4) and transfer has no limit. We did not find RAM or cores on Hostinger’s page, so we do not compare them (ours: 2, 3 and 4 GB of RAM and 1, 2 and 4 cores).

About backups: if you want one outside the server, download it from the panel.

Servers and location

Hostinger QuimeraCloud
Where Europe (France, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom), Asia (India, Indonesia, Malaysia), the U.S. (Phoenix, Boston, Asheville) and Brazil One server, in Seattle (U.S.)
Choosing a location Yes, when you order, and you can move later (the change may not be reversible) Not applicable: there is only one

Hostinger clearly wins here. If your audience is in South America, a data center in Brazil can put you closer to your visitors; with a single server in Seattle we compete neither on scale nor on proximity. We did not measure load times, so we give no figures: test your site before you commit.

Support and language

  • Hostinger: its page lists priority support around the clock on all three plans, and says its site and support are available in more than 30 languages.
  • QuimeraCloud: a person on the Quimera team answers you on WhatsApp (+591 773 14890), 24/7. We monitor the server every minute, but we do not publish an availability figure.
  • Panel: we use HestiaCP, available in Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German and English. It has 16 one-click installers (WordPress, Laravel, PrestaShop and more). WooCommerce installs as a WordPress plugin.

How you pay

  • Hostinger: on its US dollar site it accepts cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover, JCB, DinersClub and Maestro), PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, AliPay and cryptocurrencies. In Mexico it adds SPEI and OXXO, and in Brazil PIX and boleto. Its list does not mention local methods for Bolivia.
  • QuimeraCloud: credit or debit card through Stripe, in US dollars. With a Bolivian card, check with your bank first that it is enabled for purchases abroad.

Where Hostinger wins

  1. Monthly price on a long term: $2.49 against $3.99 on Premium.
  2. Scale and track record: founded in 2004, it says it serves more than 4 million customers in more than 150 countries.
  3. Data centers in several countries, with a location you can choose.
  4. A free domain for the first year, more payment methods and a content delivery network included, per its page.

Where QuimeraCloud wins

  1. Direct contact: a person on the Quimera team, on WhatsApp.
  2. An entry price for paying just one year (on the Hostinger page we saw, the entry price is paid for 48 months) and a published month-to-month price ($11.99, $18.99 and $27.99) for anyone who does not want to commit.
  3. A HestiaCP panel in six languages (Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German and English), with 16 one-click installers. We do not compare panel languages because we did not verify them on Hostinger.
  4. A daily backup on every plan (on Hostinger Premium it is weekly). Email goes through antispam and antivirus.

When to pick each one

  • Hostinger: if you can pay several years at once, your audience is spread around the world or you need to choose the server’s country.
  • QuimeraCloud: if you want to pay year by year, prefer to sort out questions with a person on the team over WhatsApp, and your WordPress site or Node.js app fits on a single server.
  • A VPS (a virtual server you run yourself): if you need root. None of our plans gives you that. We compare them in shared, cloud or VPS hosting.

How to check it yourself

  1. Open Hostinger’s pricing page from your country and write down the term, the upfront payment, the renewal price and the server country.
  2. Do the four-year math with this formula:
Total over 4 years = upfront payment + (renewals x renewal price)
  1. Do the same with our plans and message us on WhatsApp if anything is unclear.

Frequently asked questions

Is Hostinger cheaper than QuimeraCloud?

It depends on the term. If you pay 48 months upfront, Hostinger Premium starts at $2.49 a month, against $3.99 on QuimeraCloud the first year on annual billing. The monthly renewal prices of the three comparable plans match: $10.99, $16.99 and $25.99.

What would I pay over four years with each?

On Premium, Hostinger comes to $119.52 in one payment for 48 months. QuimeraCloud comes to $443.53: $47.89 the first year plus three renewals of $131.88, assuming prices do not change. That is about $324 less with Hostinger.

Where are each one's servers?

Hostinger has data centers in Europe, Asia, the United States and Brazil, and lets you choose the location when you order. QuimeraCloud has one server, in Seattle (United States), with no content delivery network. If your audience is in South America, that difference can matter.

Can I pay for QuimeraCloud with a Bolivian card?

Payment is by credit or debit card, processed by Stripe and in US dollars. Before you buy, check with your bank that your card is enabled for purchases abroad. If you are unsure, message us on WhatsApp at +591 773 14890.

Can I change plans on QuimeraCloud if my site grows?

Yes. Message us on WhatsApp and we change your plan without moving your site: your files, databases and mailboxes stay where they are, so you do not have to move anything.
